One day trip to Mysore

Need itinerary for mysore trip ?? Thinking what to cover in just one day ? Here you go ..

Well Bangalore to Mysore road distance is just 130 km and if u planned well you can visit many places in one day . Here I am sharing what we did in one day ..so that you guys will get an idea if u are running short of time but wanted to see the mysore city in one day.

We started our journey to Mysore early at 6.0O am from Bangalore and took mysore Bangalore 6 lane highway to reach the historical city .Around 7.3O am we were at Mysore. After reaching to city we headed  for some good south indian breakfast. At Dosa point , we got some nice break fast had our tea and discussed where to go first .

                                  Breakfast
           📍 Lokaranjan aqua tunnel museum

So ,after much discussion and since it was only 9 am , we decided to go India's largest aqua tunnel museum i.e 📍 Lokaranjan aqua tunnel museum zoo, mysore which open at 9.30am only . We reached aquarium and  bought tickets which was 199/- iNR for adults and for kids 149/- INR.

Since it was morning opening time , there was no rush n we enjoyed watching the wide varieties of fish at the aquarium .Here you can also feed the fish .The food of fish is available at Rs10/- extra apart from ticket price.

                            The fish feeding point
The main attraction is under water tunnel..
Lovely experience and clickable place for your photos

The under water tunnel was mesmerizing experience , there were 3 tunnel , initially the first tunnel was little blurry n water was not clear , we got disappointed little but  when we move ahead we found similar tunnel with more clarity n it was visual delight to our eyes.
At the end there is cafeteria also... Where u can buy and eat some munchies. There are also photographer inside who takes us photo n give at exit at the cost of 500/- with frame, which we found little costly.

The whole aquarium we covered in 1 hour. Now we have two options wheather to go Mysore palace first or to go shuka vana ??

We headed towards suka vana ,which is located at the outskirts of mysore at Nanjangud road (mysore -ooty highway)

This is must visit place if you have kids. Here hundred of species of parrot 🦜 you can see including mackau  . Located at shri sachidanand ashram complex ,it has 3 spot to cover ,one parrort rehabilitation centre, second shri karyasiddhi hanuman temple and third Bonsai garden .

Entry to this place is free.. except bonsai garden which will cost you only Rs25/- per adult.
There is ample parking space for this vana

Inside the parrot rehabilitation centre, photography is not allowed but professional photographer are available inside to capture ur moment with Parrots which will again cost you Rs 20O to 4OO with one hard copy of pics.

This is must go place if u have kids .
Since it's almost 1.30 pm when we covered the vana .The temple was closed as the most south indian temple closed at afternoon and reopen at evening for aarti. We just had a photoshoot from outside and left the campus for our Lunch.

Post lunch at 3 pm we headed for Mysore palace we thought it will be less crowded but to the surprise the crowd was double triple as it was weekend and every weekend this palace shows laser show and lit up the palace in evening which is very enchanting affair.
Anyway we took the ticket at the counter which cost us Rs 100 for adults and for kids under 12 yrs it's free and kids above 12 is Rs 50/-
We headed inside along with the crowd and manage to get inside the palace after 1 hour of sanding in very slow moving queu.
Manage to get some mesmerizing Darbar view ,the royal living hall beautiful craving architecture design on the wall n celing. It was lovely experience . By 5 pm we came out had a rondom clicks outside the palace.
We wanted to see the light show also but the crowd n standing queu made us tired very much .

Since we had plans of only one day trip .We left the palace at 6 pm to leave for Bangalore.

On the way at Bangalore Mysore Highway just after the exit of mysore city we stopped for early dinner n refreshments at 📍pujari fishland restaurant.
It's one of the most beautiful ambience, great place to hang out and serve some  good  manglorian fish too.

After early dinner we left for Bangalore around 8 pm and by 1O pm we were at our home sweet home 🏡

It was really quick n well executed trip and we covered max. Things in one day. Hope this blog inspired you little to prioritise the places as mysore is a big city and its require atleast two days to explore full.
