A weekend trip to Sangam!!
Sangam is a place in Bangalore where Arkavati river merges with river Kaveri . It's a good picnic spot for tourists. The popular "Makedattu " tourist spot is also 3 km ahead of this spòt .The road distance to this place from Bangalore is just 65 km approx.(we calculated from d Mart, Bannerghatta road) . On the way you will get chunchi fall too with little deviation from the main road.
So you can plan to this spot for full one day trip.
This trip was also very prompt like many of our trip hence we started from Bangalore very late post lunch around 3 pm .
The road was quite good , since we were already late we choose to visit only Sangam .We reached around 5 pm .
After parking our vechile we enjoyed scenic sunset at this place . It was off season so water was very less ,and people were njoying bathing n swimming here.
The famous coracle boat (round shape boat ) you will get here which crosses river from where you will get buses for Makedattu. Since it's forest area and it closes by 6 pm .we choose only to ride the boat .
The boatman charges Rs50/- per person to n fro for crossing river.
We stayed here till sunset .There are small eateries available . where fresh fish you can eat with locals.. we had our tea and headed towards home.
In our way we stopped car for taking pics of beautiful hills around.
