Day 2 - Unwinding Udaipur !

Udaipur is most romantic getaways for honeymoon couples and must visit place in Rajasthan Trip. Since we were already in Jaipur our next destination was the beautiful city of lakes. From Jaipur we reached Udaipur by train which depart Jaipur early in the morning 6 :00 am , by train it took 6 hours to reach Udaipur. Train ticket in 3rd a/c will cost you around 1200/- per person .Around 12:15 pm we were at Udaipur Station as suggested by my friend we took auto this time to reach our hotel as well as planed our visit by same throughout the city . after refreshing and finishing our lunch we started our journey around 3 pm . We thought of covering far areas rather than the main attraction Lake Pichola, as our hotel was near by lake. Our first destination was Maharana Pratap Memorial .There is a museum and you will get a mesmerizing view of lake fatehsagar from the top. The entry fee was 50/- per person excluding parking charge for auto.

In the same road further you can have a romantic walk along with Fatehsagar lake , in Night its feels like marine drive .

There was option of camel ride too , that would cost you again ofcourse :). Our next plan was to visit Sajjangarh Fort , sounds like Haunted fort ... but it was worth visiting the place.while returning our autowala stoped at small garden for clicking pics . There was lots of small park in Udaipur.

Sajjangarh Fort also known as Monsoon palace is beautiful small fort situated in hill and can be seen from Lake Pichola and fatehsagar lake both. Auto does not go up till hill but forest department has service of providing jeep to reach sajjangarh fort . They charge Rs 100/- per person (adult) & Rs 50/- ( child) for jeep service( to- and fro). Entry ticket for fort was separate and the cost for entry was around Rs 50/- per person. The whole Rajasthan Trip would drain your pocket as everywhere Entry fee was quite expensive.

one can witness the awesome sunset from the fort . Down the hill forest department has open Wildlife sanctuary too for public . While returning to city our autowala suggested to visit city palace where they show historic documentary for visitors in the evening . The city palace in night was delightful .

City palace of Udaipur was much more beautiful than Jaipur one, as its lies on the bank of lake Pichola makes it beauty more sensuous.Near to city palace an old Hindu temple known as Jadish Temple you can spot. It was lord Vishnu temple. We were lucky enough to be the part of aarti & feel so blessed.The Only place where we didn't pay anything :)

After covering all this place our autowala left us to Baapu bazar Where we enjoyed local streets foods, Varieties of panipuri ( Batashe made up of rice, wheat and suji separately ) Sweets especially rabri it was mouth watering . Note : The autowala charge only Rs. 450/- for taking us to all the places.
It was awesome Funfilled day and we left lake Pichola , saheliyon ki bari etc for the next day.
