A charming city of Srinagar (Kashmir)

This is the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir, and also crown of the state. Famous for most talked about Dal lake ,shikaras and houseboat. So here I am sharing the experience of all most talked things . We have planned our trip in winter to experience the snowfall as it was in our bucket list from so long. In the winter season when the mountain range is covered in thick snow is definitely a sight to behold the beauty of Kashmir. Dal lake The name itself require no introduction . Shikara Ride is must do activity here. U can see lots of sight seeing in ride which include(nehru garden, floating market, seaweed harvesting, vegetable farming and fishing.) Shikara in Kashmir is also used for other purposes apart from leisure. Locals mainly use this low rowing boat for transportation But for selling varieties of flowers and handicrafts that are quite popular among tourists .The glimpse of floating boats full of colorful blooms is definitely an eye-catcher.A
Chasme shahi - Also known as Royal spring is a beautiful garden renowned for the natural spring of refreshing digestive mineral water. It has three terraces and a number of fountains .Locals says our pm Pandit Nehru used to drink water from here even though he was in Delhi. The spring is surrounded by a traditional Mughal pavilion. Since we went in winter there were no flower and greenry. 🙂 To see the green beauty people must visit Kashmir during Summer.
Pari Mahal As the name suggested it means the palace of the fairies. Pari Mahal, a seven terraced garden, is the beautiful mughal garden . The palace's height and position make it possible to glance at the city of Srinagar and the southwest part of Dal Lake.❤️
House boat stay - Stay in a houseboat in Dal Lake is one of the most amazing experience Srinaga offer to the tourist .Depending upon the season and Month , prices for one night stay will vary from Rs 1000-5000. The houseboats do not float free around the lake, but are anchored off-shore.🙃 The second lake apart from dal lake is -Nageen Where we stayed . Quite peaceful n less commercial than Dal lake. Nageen lake of Srinagar is referred to as the nageena of Kashmir for being surrounded by a numerous number of willow and poplar trees. Like Aellepy (kerela)there is no concept of 1BHK in houseboat . *Will share soon the exclusive video of Kashmir Houseboat where u can see its not less than a hotel where lots of room are available with common dinning and terrace .
Quick tips - *most of the shikara ride is complementary with the hotel booking for 1hr duration. If its not included dont worry there are so many gates/ghats with numerous Shikaras available all the time. Price vary from Rs 500-750/- for covering all point (not more than this. ) * Remember bargaining is hard here everywhere from shopping to booking any ride. * The ticket price for pari mahal and chasme shahi is just Rs20/- per adult separately. * For chasme shahi and Pari mahal you have to change ur cab and has to go in govt. Prescribe vehicles due to security reason as Rajbhavan comes under this route. The price for govt . cab is Rs 100/- per person per seat.We were in groups of 8 adults and 2 kids so we paid Rs.800 for full vehicle (Tavera *Due to time constrain we have not covered nishat bagh, shalimar bagh (winter is not the season ) and Shankaracharya temple . One must visit Shankaraacharya temple ..however we missed it. 🙁 *last but not the least Appreciate its simple beauty ,Photograph sweeping views of Dal Lake and enjoy Srinagar surrounded by the arching Zabarwan Mountains . Will unfold soon the other chapters of our kashmir trip !🥰 #happytravelling #winterwonderland #kashmirtourism #srinagardiaries #chapterunfold
