Gulmarg - “A Meadow of Flowers .
Gulmarg is a very popular hill station of Kashmir and one of the best skiing
destination of the world. During summer thousand of flower bloom along the road
hence it named "Gulmarg" (our guide told us ☺️)In winter, Gulmarg changes from
lush green to serene white and with it comes the perfect powder 😍

Gulmarg has
something for everyone in every season. From the cable car ride which is the
second-highest Gondola in the world to Apharwat Peak the highest peak situated
there. The second phase of the Gondola Ride from Gulmarg takes you to this
place. Phase 1 is generally crowded as most of th sports activity held here. One
must try Ice ski and snow bike if u like adventure its a lifetime experience .

You would be surprised to know that there is no local population that resided in
Gulmarg. The place is only accessible for tourists and the Indian Army. The only
locals that live in the town are the ones who travel during the day for work

Which is unique kind of cafe and will exist till March end only 😊Located at the
famous ski-resort of Gulmarg .This year it has become a centre of attraction for
tourists.
Quick bite- 1. Gulmarg being at hilly place maximum snow fall happens
during winter ,Hence vehicle from Tanmag(place) you have to change to chained
vehicle (In our case our driver was skilled hence he allowed to go till Gulmarg)
2.Boots can be hired from Tanmarg.
3.Gandola charges (fixed)
Phase 1: INR 750/-
per head
Phase 2: INR 1150/-:per head Chairlift Fees: INR 350 Timings: 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m. It is subject to change in weather.
4. Snow biking charge 1000/- for
one spot (aaprox.4km) Complete package 2200/- per bike
(including sight seeing,
self drive and total 13 km of ride) 4. Ice ski is little costlier than Sonmarg
here and it cost you 500- 1000 rs per person with the trainer
5.There are some
tents and small restaurants offering food at Phase 1 , and you can try the local
Kashmiri Pulav here. Phase 2 does not have anything apart from view .
